Liverpool announced on Sunday they were one of 12 clubs planning to start the Super League; however, proposals created huge backlash and all six Premier League clubs withdrew on Tuesday; Henry: “I want to apologise to all the fans and supporters of Liverpool for the disruption I caused”

Liverpool owner John W Henry has apologised to the club’s supporters, players and staff for his decision to sign up to the now-collapsed European Super League.
